Tougher Paper!
After much debate and product testsing, we’re switching to Kodak Process RA-4 printing. These papers held up the best and the lustre finish looked nearly identical to our original Epson prints (after we sprayed them). The books stack a little tighter and we’ve had fewer re-print problems using these papers.
The Epson papers were giving us problem with scratching VERY easily in production, which meant we were constantly reprinting and sometimes shipping late. We didn’t want to go process because we really liked the finish we were able to get. When we found this Kodak paper, the finish was nearly a perfect match! So we’re able to get the same feel with a tougher paper.
For those of you with samples, these changes are more structural than visible. Your sample books should still represent the fine leathers and the overall book construction–the finished product will just be more durable!
Thanks for KISSing!
