Jeanette Sanchez visited us in WPPI and has recently starting using KISS. Check out her first KISS book!

“My first experience attending a wedding photographer convention was at WPPI in Las Vegas. It was described to me as the super bowl of the wedding photography industry. I remember walking the trade show floors filled with wall to wall booths of album company vendors from all shapes and sizes. With each page I turned and book I inspected there was only one book company that remained practical to me in every way.”

Below, is a 10×10 size album with 40 pages. These pages are 2mm thick.

Made of 100% natural full grain leather and delivered in a special swanky designed cloth dust cover.

We look forward to seeing you again in Vegas next year! :)

Thanks for KISSing!

GLK Creative blogged about adding KISS Wedding Books to their line of albums.

“One of the biggest sticking points when we launched GLK Creative was deciding on which album company to use. For those that don’t know, there are hundreds of different manufacturers ranging in style, options, price, and size—trying find the perfect one is both overwhelming and exciting.

The albums feature super-thick photo paper and a lay-flat spine guarantees that two-page photo spreads will be fully visible. These are stunning heirloom pieces that will last generations, and are backed by KISS’s lifetime guarantee. While we went with Forbidden Green for our sample, KISS has a number of other colors available including: Virgin White, Sultry Blue, Smoldering Brown, Passion Pink, Voluptuous Black, and Redlight Red”

Thanks GLK for posting such rockin’ images!

Big KISSes Mar 5th

Check out Pamela Joye’s email about her first, very simple, order with KISS!

I’m SO excited to finally be at the point to order a few small studio samples. I’ve bundled Kiss books into every package I offer and I only offer package only pricing….I can’t wait to see my book and then market. The process was SO freaking easy! I appreciate the clear and simple page views to approve and honestly can’t say enough for how simple this process is. I now truly understand your tagline!

So – BIG kisses to you all and my hope for many more orders to come.

Cheers,
Pamela Joye

Hey, KISSers!

2010-03 update: Our total donations are now at $4,335! Thanks to all of you.

2010-02 update: Through your orders, we donated over $1600 last month, and this month is looking great, too! I wanted to share a letter we received that details some of what’s going on with your money:

Dear Friend,

I have just returned from Haiti, where Samaritan’s Purse is working non-stop to help survivors of the catastrophic Jan. 12 earthquake. It’s almost impossible to describe the scope of the tragedy—not just the endless devastation and the lingering stench of death, but the anguished faces of women, children, and others who are desperate for food, water, and shelter.

Our teams on the ground estimate that Samaritan’s Purse has been able to help close to 100,000 people since the quake struck.

Here are some of the ways we have responded:

  • SHELTER: Everywhere we went, I saw makeshift homes covered with heavy-duty blue plastic handed out by Samaritan’s Purse. Already, we’ve distributed enough plastic for about 20,000 families. In the coming days we will begin providing thousands more with transitional housing where they can live until they are able to rebuild a permanent house.
  • MEDICAL CARE: While I was in Haiti, Samaritan’s Purse reopened a clinic at one of the largest churches in Cite Soleil. It will be staffed by doctors who are volunteering through World Medical Mission, the medical arm of Samaritan’s Purse. We are also continuing to provide doctors and support for the Baptist Haiti Mission hospital, where over 1,500 survivors have been treated; and we sent in a helicopter this week to carry medical brigades into some of the most isolated and hard-hit towns.
  • FOOD: We have handed out 250 tons of rice and other staples to thousands of families, focusing on the needs of mothers and other women. Our teams have also delivered food to over 40 orphanages where children had gone hungry since the earthquake.
  • WATER: We have set up large-scale water filtration systems at 10 locations, providing more than 20,000 people with clean drinking water. More filters have just arrived and will be installed soon.

videoThis has been the most massive relief project in the history of Samaritan’s Purse. We have chartered eight cargo flights and two trips by an ocean-going barge that delivered over a million pounds of heavy equipment and construction supplies. We thank God for providing the resources and opening the doors for us to deliver help into the crippled country.

Click on the video image here to watch my report from Haiti.

We praise God for what He is doing through Samaritan’s Purse to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the people in Haiti. Your prayers and support are making a difference. Please continue to lift up our teams on the ground. They need God’s strength and wisdom as they help and minister to those who have lost everything. “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:L1).

If you would like to know more about what Samaritan’s Purse is doing in Haiti and how you can help, go towww.samaritanspurse.org or call us at 1-800-528-1980.

Sincerely,

Franklin Graham
President, Samaritan’s Purse

Sang Chen Photography is now a proud owner of their first Sample 12×12 leather wedding book!

“Imagine my glee when I got notification that my first ever sample wedding album had arrived! A lot of you have been asking for this, and I’m happy to announce that Shang Chen Photography is proud to partner with KISS wedding books for gorgeous wedding albums. There are many album companies out there. I chose these albums because this is what I would love in a wedding album of my own.

Albums are delivered to my door using rigid cushioning in a large UPS box. The cover options are either 100% full-grain natural leathers or linen covers in 7 solid colors. I chose a 12×12 leather version for my sample because it is more durable and I’m going to be showing it around a lot. Your albums are accompanied by nifty cloth dust covers.”

Here’s Shang Chen sporting the 12×12 book

What really sold her?

“The pages are lay-flat with a micro fold, which means that panoramic photos are seamless, allowing for jaw-dropping large spreads. Each spread is a photographic print that is folded and glued to the middle substrate – this binding process is called flush mount. The leather albums’ pages are hard pages with substrate separating the prints. They are thick and durable. The linen books have flexible pages. Consumer companies like Blurb are press-printed, they use inks and print on paper, and yes, they are cheaper. However, KISS wedding albums have individual pages that are exposed on Fujifilm – this is a true photographic print that will not yellow like paper, is sturdy, and has much more detail upon close examination (doesn’t become pixelated when you put your face up close).”

“Wedding albums are a luxury item because they are a real remnant of your wedding. They are tangible end products of the hours and hours of work you put into your wedding. They exist in a form that you can wrap your hands around, you don’t need to start up a computer or TV to see them. You can see, feel, and relive the moments and colors of your wedding. Who knows whether the DVDs I’m sending you know would be relevant in the future, and if you don’t back them up properly, you could easily break or lose them. Books will always be there.”

Much love, Shang! We can’t wait to get you a few KISS books for your future brides!

Thanks for KISSing!
